Teen Program
Teen Leadership Program
Last year the Teen Leadership Program shaped and inspired 26 teens with over 5,000 hours of skill-building activities. This year-long program focuses on developing life skills, preparing and supporting young people as they make choices that will guide their transitions into adulthood.
Throughout the year, teens ages 13-17 have the opportunity to
- Explore college majors and careers by taking field trips to local colleges and businesses
- Build skills in conflict resolution, decision making, public speaking, writing, and leadership
- Participate in job training through internships in Tel-Hi programs
- Perform community service activities at Tel-Hi and throughout the city
- Take part in citywide youth activities and events
- Have fun and receive a stipend
The application process for each new group of teen leaders takes place in April. The year-long commitment begins in June. Click to download an application form here. To learn more, please contact Clifford Yee.
